Training
New Native Theatre is committed to fostering learning, mentorship, and professional development across generations. We have a long history of welcoming individuals of all ages—from students exploring theatre for the first time to elders seeking new creative experiences.
Internships
We work with those pursuing academic credit, volunteer hours, or placements supported through external funding programs, and we welcome colleges, universities, and formal internship programs interested in partnering with us. When resources allow, paid opportunities may also be available.
Apprenticeships
Our apprenticeship program provides hands-on experience in a professional theatre environment. Apprentices receive a stipend and work alongside experienced artists and staff in roles such as assistant directing, stage management, props, production support, and other areas depending on the needs of each production and the availability of mentors. These opportunities are designed to build practical skills, deepen understanding of the theatre-making process, and strengthen connections within the Indigenous arts community.
